Went out with my step dad again today. Was on the water by 915. I had 3 fish all on a top water rapala. We were right of the boat ramp. Only was one was a bass, small. Step Dad skunk trip #2. We only stayed about 2 or so hours the wind kicked way up and we decided to quit early. On the way home stopped by Rising sun lake. We'd never been there before. Looked real nice. Gonna try it next Wednesday.

Good job! Three is a lot better than zero! That is my favorite lake out of the three. Rising Sun.

Rising Sun gets hit hard especially during ice fishing season. One BIG problem. There are a lot of Europeans that fish there and keep EVERYTHING. I have had several verbal throw downs there that almost led to fist fights. They make believe they don't understand the laws. Especially fish size. I know they have been caught by game wardens many times in Henderson Cove during ice fishing season. Lake hopatcong can take that kind of pressure but not a small lake like Rising Sun. Now I keep the game wardens phone number in my cell phone. Everybody should do the same. Stopping poaching will result in more fish breeding.
