Finally made it out for a bit today. Hit the water around 5 and found some action. First fish of the day was a nice pike. Smacked a spinnerbait and fought really well. I was standing in the jboat and, right as I got him up alongside the boat, he jumped as high as my waist!!! If I was quick enough I could have reached out and grabbed him out of mid air, lol. Hooked up with another, slightly bigger one soon after. Stayed hooked the whole time but shook it loose when I went to grab him. Oh well, self release. Moved on to another spot and picked off a couple small smallies on an inline. Not big, but fun to catch. Called it a day soon after...........

Nice ones....I just got back from a quick trip before she woke up and got this:

...Saw alot of fish crashing bait though!!!

Thanx guys. Went back out this morning around 7. Fished till about 8:30, picked up a decent lmb and a med smallie. Then got caught about a mile and a half downstream in an ungodly DOWNPOUR!!! Made it about halfway back and it let up so we kept fishing. Then the thunder started crashing all around so we packed it in. Rained so hard we had to bail out the whole way back to the launch, uggghhhhh. Good thing I had a coffee cup in the boat, lol.........
