if it's not blowing south 20-25, whatever wind is giving you a drift with the current is best... West, north, northwest, southwest, if it's working it's working... wind against is almost never good, and too much together creates too fast of a drift.

south can be good especially if you have one of those days with zero wind and current, that movement you get can make the difference between hacking it and doing really well...

maybe you can help us - where are you fishing? That determines a lot of what wind direction can be "good" or "bad" for fluking.

wind and tide in the same direction , hopefully just moderate wind, enough to keep you covering ground , IN the same direction as current flow
