Topwater Bassin.....

Hit the shed for a couple hours this morning. Decided to throw mostly topwater since I very rarely do. I threw frogs and poppers while my dad hurled jitterbugs. Surprisingly, the first hour, 7-8ish seemed perfect for topwater. Early, cloudy, still water, and we got skunked. After that, sunny with a little chop and they started cooperating. Picked up 5 smallies, 1 lmb, and 1 very respectable pickerel. The pickerel HAMMERED the bug, comin out of the water in the process!! Soon after, I see somethin chasing a frog and toss my popper at em. Two pops later a nice smallie inhales it. Fight for a minute only to have him spit the hook, turn, and come right back and smash it AGAIN while I'm still droppin f bombs, lol. Got em on the second try. Later on I picked up a decent lmb without ever twitchin the lure, just perfect placement, lol. Anyway, not a TON of fish, but def TONS of fun.......

Way to get some on a day we were supposedly in for "severe thunderstorm warnings"

I was @ clinton alll day threw everything, topwater, live, you name it. 0 for the day. bummer. back at it again tomm.
