Default 4/24 Local Bassin'

Hit up a local pond after work with the finally spring-like temperatures warming the water all day. In the first hour I got 9 bass between 8 and 15 inches. Then some clouds moved in and the wind shifted, and the bite totally died. Half an hour with not so much as a touch and I headed home. Fish were up shallow on the windward side of the lake. All came on a white spinnerbait, except one oddball who crashed a 1-minus. Hits were very aggressive, and the fish fought hard.

I hit the Millstone River where it flows out of Carnegie Lake (by the Kingston Mill House) for about an hour and a half yesterday. I only got three bass, but I agree with you, Lard, that they seemed to be in an aggressive mood. I landed them with a 1/4 oz. Mepps Aglia.
