I'd definitely be interested once the weather gets warmer and there are some fluke and blackfish biting.

Thumbs up Re: Naval Pier

Don't overlook striper fishing from the pier. My wife's Bro-in-law is a disabled Vietnam Vet. Along with my Father-in-law, and another friend, we used to fish off the pier in the mid to late 70's.

Late May, early June, we would live line bunker for Stripers. We had a live well set up in in the back of a pickup truck. We caught fish up to 35#. Biggest problem was getting the fish from the water to the pier. But we spent many great mornings out there.

I never caught one but I hear there are also some nice Tog hanging under the pier.

Really nice weakie won the pool when I fished the pier. That's an awesome offer, great fishing...very hard for civilians to get on anymore.

I recall on the way out right before the pier splits, north side had the good bottomfish action.

Enjoy, I'm sure your mailbox is full.

I remember in the final years of flounder fishing, where you could keep 10, there were party boats and private boats lined up almost rail to rail all around the "coned" perimeter of that pier. wish i could get on the pier itself LOL
