Gill net vs fyke net

Which is better for catching panfish(mainly perch and sunfish), bass, pickerel, and pikes:
A gill net(drifting)
Or a fyke net?

Both illegal in New Jersey I think. I would check the regulations before you start setting out gill nets in New Jersey waters.
