Default Pompon lake...

Was out in my kayak from 10am until around noon and ended up with two lmb, one crappie and one pumpkinseed all on a three inch grub with a 1/8 ounce jig head. My brother was with me and he is still out there. He was hammering the sunnies ona grip and rapala. He got unhooked on a perch and pickerel as well. Great time being out!

Nice man, I love that place! Were the Largemouths spawning in the shallows? I remember this time last year they were all spawning and wanted absolutely nothing to do with us. What areas did you target? Launch from the boat ramp or the car top lot by the Potash?

Launched at the park on Terhune drive in Wayne. First time being there. Once I launched in the park...my brother and I went left towards the falls. Ended up pitching around the docks and fallen trees. The bass were in the cover tucked as far underneath the trees as possible. Didn't try anything in the deep. Where do u normally target when u go. Like I said...first time there...

I've fished down towards the dam a few times, nothing too special to show for it. I've landed some decent yellow perch and a few LMB's in the cove right before the dam. I usually hit the shoreline to the right of where you launched and around the two islands. If you go on google maps, look at the bridge at Doty Rd in Oakland. There is a small dirt/gravel parking lot there that we launch from when we want to target the north end of the lake or Potash Lake.

I didn't go anywhere to the right of where we launched. I will have to give that a shot the next time I get up there. I ordered a fish finder last week, and it should be coming in this week. I want to get that hooked up and give that lake a shot again. It's only about a twenty minute ride to get there, so it's really close. Do you use bait, or are you pitching lures when you get there?

Wacky-rigged senko's and soft plastic crayfish have done most of my damage there. Even hooked up with a few Pike with them but got cut off within a few seconds lol. Have yet to LAND a pike there though...
