Default When do you switch to bait?

Just out of curiosity, do you guys start with artificial and as the water warms up switch to bait? I’m from Maine, I usually stick with bait by June m, but in Memorial Day I’ll through some top water and soft plastic.

Are you talking about fishing for stripers? It would be the opposite around here, bait 1st and then as the water warms up plastics and plugs. By end of June the migratory bass are gone.

Yes! Bait first, blood and sand worms, cut bunker or clam on the bottom till the water warms up then paddle tails and trolling, then live bunker and eels.
