Default Salmon river yearly trip with the boyz

This year seemed to go by pretty quickly but we made the trek up north for our yearly trip. This year with Selkirk shores campground shut down for renovations we booked a sick air b&b house 15 minutes away from the river. House was on a private lake with everything you could ever want at a rental house plenty room sick hangout room with 80” flatscreen message chair a bar darts you name it. 14 guys in our house for the trip amd everyone was comfortable.

Fishing report: first few days for myself were pretty good not on fire by any means but not bad. Spot we were fishing fish were running tight to the opposite shoreline so you really had to cast far to get them and light 8 lb fluro was key.
My crew picked away at them everyone getting themselves into some fish a few of the boyz got their firsts. Towards the last two days fishing dropped off big time very slow with very few fish moving. Scouted some turf and even some small creeks. There was some fish in the creeks but they were cleaned out quick. No steel or browns for us this trip I did think I had a small one on for a little bit and did manage a small coho for the smoker.

Brought the driftboat up for the first time and fished some spots off Ontario where my buddy nick knew a bunch of fish were holding we brought the two boats at night and drifted skeins and casted spoons and got these kings to smack em both putting a lot of fish in the two boats both nights. Again the guys got some first so that was cool and my brother made the trip up and together we put some of the first kings in the boat together a memory I won’t ever forget.
For those going up it looks like more steel and starting to show so good luck I’ll be back up soon for steelies and browns, thanks to the boyz for being on good behavior this week always a blast with you guys and look forward to this trip evrey year.
