Default Black Hawk Report- Noank, CT

Today's trip started off slow as we had to pick through the short sea bass to find the keepers. We made a few moves and loaded up on the porgies, ling and mackerel while we picked away on the sea bass and cod. We got on a haddock heap towards the end of the day and put in some overtime to fill up the spaces in the coolers and bags.
We are heading back out to Block Island on Tuesday at 5am leaving from the Noank Shipyard. Book your spot now to join us. Bring your lunch and catch your dinner! (860) 448-3662 www.blackhawksportfishing.com

Another nice trip with Capt. Matt, Mates Ryan, Randy and CJ on the Black Hawk today. Left the dock at 5am to Block Island and beyond, returning at 6:15pm. Great crew and overtime effort all the time!

I caught sea bass, ling, bergall, mackerel, lots of porgies and haddock.
Ended the trip back to NJ with my usual white clam pizza at Pepe’s in my hometown of New Haven. It doesn’t get any better!

Are the haddock still thick?

We found one haddock spot that was hot. Most people averaged 1-3 haddock, maybe 40-50 came up yesterday. Not insane haddock fishing from a week ago. I was surprised by how many huge bergalls came up (1-2 lb).
