This morning, when I spoke with Captain Alan at 11:00 a.m. we were fishing north of our inlet and catching stripers on birds and had lots of readings. They were all small fish but there was a lot of action. One of our patrons, Derek, already had 19 fish before 12:00 p.m. There were a few keepers with a lot of throwbacks. At the end of the day, we ended up catching close to 80 throwbacks, only keeping a few. Derek ended up with 22 stripers, where some had 7-8. It was a beautiful day on the ocean with a lot of action. Our pool winner was Derek Dearnley from Sussex, NJ. If his daughter Avalon was here she would have had 30 or more! Just kidding. Nice job, Derek!

We will make a decision tomorrow morning regarding Sunday’s trip. If it is raining and windy we will cancel. You can also give us a call after 6:00 p.m. at (732) 681-6866.
