Default Rainy Ramapo river report

Went back to the Mahwah /Oakland border with a friend this morning. We started around 6 well above the stocking point and had good action as we worked our way upriver, I caught a largemouth in the mix too. It started raining pretty good around 7 and the bites slowed down alot. We went back down to the Bridge were they are stocked and saw a couple guys bait fishing that were catching pretty good. My buddy got one there and we moved down about 1/4 mile to the first really good pool below the bridge. As we walked up there was a Comorant in there tearing it up. We tried it anyway and I was surprised we caught a couple. We left at 8:15 by then it was pouring down rain. The river was at a good level, water was a little stained and the fish were in the riffles adjacent to the deeper holes.

Thanks for the comeback Andy. Starting a day on the river is always a good thing, rain or shine.
