Verona Park 11/20 + 21
Hit the park for an hour or two last couple days. First day I made it there before dark. Had one serious follow by a thick trout. Thought he was committed but just turned and swam away at the last minute. Had another nip at my spinner but no hooked up. Did see a couple guys catchin on bait, but not much.
Went back last night on my way home from work. Fished for an hour in the dark. Didnt find any trout, but I did pick up a decent largie, lol. Went about the same size as a winter stockie so it had me fooled till I actually landed it. Oh well, ill take it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Nice fish. I live up the street from the park, but have not fished it since the winter stocking last week.

That place is crazy during the bass spawn. Last spring I went there for a walk with my mom and saw probably 300+ bass in the shallows on beds. I was completely surprised by the amount of 2-3lb fish with a few bigger ones mixed in. Never targeted trout there, though Ive seen a few nice ones landed while bass fishing.
