The Black River

Headed up to the Black River with a buddy this afternoon. Wow it was hot out. Much lower water flow than last time I was there about a month ago. I hooked up to two rainbows on a wooly bugger. Only managed to land one though, the first one managed to shake the hook off. There's a short video on my YouTube, but nothing really exciting today. Sorry!

It is lower but I like that speed - nice job- what weight u using?

Suprised noone fishin that hole with you??? Favorite place to trout fish in this state, nice work man

I just started fly fishing this year. I'm using a St. Croix Rio Santo 4 weight.

I think the heat kept people away. Only ran into maybe 4 other fishermen throughout the stretch.
