Mushin 7/12 Open Boat Canyon - Longfin, Yellowfin, Mahi

7/12 - Capts Alan and Chad and mate Darryl ran an open boat trip with Brian, Matt, Howie, Kevin, Edwin, and Sammy. Went to a more local canyon and found lots of bait right where we hoped...went 1 for 3 on yellowfin at 50# right off the bat. Pulling around some more, we anxiously awaited the fish to start snapping given the amount of bait and conditions we saw but boat traffic built and made it tough. Pulled a handful of mahi off pots (many were loaded), pulled hook on a white marlin and one blue marlin. We had another Blue Marlin in the 400-500# class chafe off for Edwin after an amazing aerial show. Tried for tiles but slow today. Went back to the original spots, now with less boat traffic, and went 8 for 10 on longfin to 45#.
