Default Delaware smallmouth

Put my boat in the Delaware with my boy G-man for the first time this afternoon at Worthington. Beautiful stretch of water. We caught, literally, one smallmouth. Had a few other hits but that's all. Around dusk it felt like the water was going to explode but it never did.

.

The smallmouth bass fishery just isn't what it used to be there.
I guess water-quality issues and the subsequent Columnaris Disease have really taken their toll.

I haven't fished the Worthington stretch of the Delaware yet this year. Between the low bass population, the very high water levels, and those dreadful hordes of irritating summer visitors, I've stayed away.
