Default General river suggestions for targeting smallies

Hey All... I've been pretty quiet in here the last few weeks as I've been fishing the salt quite a bit. This wknd I plan on getting back into the sweet water and was wondering if you could provide me with some general info on where I can go to target river smallies. I'm in the woodbridge/rahway area and am willing to travel. Any pointers would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

TON of good info on here regarding Smallies in the Raritan, Delaware and Passaic. I've had good luck with them on 4" senkos, jointed rapalas, husky jerks, and of course live bait. I usually find them near bridges with rocky bottoms.

Raritan has been good, bound brook, nevius, roberts and duke island are some starting points. The delaware is pathetic at best. The musky and south branch have been doing well too.Ive been fishing allot too fresh and salt, just not reporting, plus I hear this is a braggin board now

Raritan river is great. Sometimes you gotta jump around alot. Passaic is another good one. Then theres the lakes which will only get better in the coming cooler months. Delaware river will be really good soon as well. Well its better in certain areas, I like route 80 and north of there for the BIG D Smallies. I think all fishing sites are BRAG BOARDS. Where else can you get advice, learn new spots, share spots, find out river conditions and then show off your catch?

Thanks for all the input guys! It's much appreciated. I think I'm going to hit either the Passaic or a few parts of the North Branch. Tough to pass up the Passaic though when there's solid shots at pike by-catch!
