North Jersey Recommendations

Hi,
I live in Jersey City and I'm looking for some places that are still accessible where I can take my kids for some light fishing that are still open. Sunfish and crappies are good enough. They are 9 and 6. Any recommendations? We don't mind (in fact it's nice) if it's off the road and needs a bit of a hike.
