Default Skinny water smiles and the century mark!!

Well with the chocolate milk bay Sunday we decided to stick with our skinny water haunts and it worked out well. Andrew and I were on our way and ran into our old friend Dupes in Petey's.. who was heading out alone....No way....hop aboard the skinny tinny with us....hooked up with Jackie's ginormous killies off we went. Fished 9 to 130 slugging away at shorts, burning through two quarts of killies and putting 5 nice keeps in the box. Andrew had hot hand catching most and the biggest at 23 inches.... we had stellar net work by Dupes...you would think he was catching butterflies ...hit Andrew's big fish in the head TWICE for shits and giggles....a really fun day with a a good crew. Most fish on single killie WONDER RIG...bellies full of shredders. Tight lines to all....we have now surpassed 100 fish caught since season opener.

Well done Bobby. I'll be hitting the skinny water tomorrow morning on my day off with a couple of kids to see if we can keep this amazing June fluke bite going. Great opportunity to take some first time fishermen out.

On Sunday I hit the river with my dad and we caught nothing but big fish. It was amazing - I think the fog and early rain kept all boats off the water so we were all alone out there. I set the hook and thought I had a bottom snag - didn't budge! Then I let it go slack trying to unsnag the bottom when all of a sudden I got a huge head shake and then GONE. This was a pool winner for sure - the one that got away. 5 days left in the WR challenge.

Still enjoyed the heck out of the day and this photo is my personal favorite reason why I enjoy this sport so much!
