My wife just booked a house for a week in Sag Harbor. Of course there'll be some party boat trips from shinnicock and montauk.
Any advice as where to drop a kayak up that way?? Any surf advice between shinnicock and Montauk? Going August 13. Thanks |

Shinnecock Bay before you get to the Hampton Lady I believe there is an access road on the left that will take you right to the water. Seen tons of kayaks there and, depending on what kind of day you have and kayak you're using, I've seen kayaks out to Shinnecock reef out front. Never been to Montauk, but will look for your report. Good luck!

South side beaches hold big porgies. Find the rocks find the fish. If you're in search of stripes I'd look towards the point. Turtle cove is a good start. You can also launch in a few places and fish the sound side. Inlet holds fluke. Blues blitz frequently outside the inlet. Also decent porgy action. Lots of options.
