Default how long. cant u keep whole clams on ice ??

Have clams left over that been on ice since sat are they still edible if clams are still closed

As long as they were kept cold, are closed and living you should be fine.

Fully closed They're alive. Test them be squeezing shut. If they don't open a bit they should be good. No odor either.. I'm not a marine biologist but play one on TV..

should be fine as long as they are closed shut, toss anything opened or opening

Thanks guys i ate them they were good , no stank , tastey .....! I bought a bushel from keyport fishery sat for a party i had and thought they would of flown off the shelf , but i guess so much food to be had , people didnt eat that many ....so i had my self the left overs

The ones I personally dig keep and eat for 10 days if refrigerated.
