Hit it up with GetANet again yesterday... Same deal as last week. On the water by 645 am--a bit earlier than last. Scooped some herring on the way. More than last week... just in case. Headed to the same area that we fished last wknd and it did not disappoint. Less variety but some bronze toads were served all around. We had over a dozen nice smallies up to 19+ inches. We kinda went back and forth all day. I'd get lots of action, then he'd get lots of action, etc etc. We also had some largies and a pickerel pay a visit. Ran out of bait by noon... WTF!!! So we dock, he jumps in the truck and floors it for more bait! back at it 35-40 mins later. Put a few more fish in the boat... and I lost 2 realllllly nice fish at the end of the day. They werent inhaling the baits.... just kinda lippin them and I guess I didnt get a good hookset. One came up after fighting her about 10 secs and she was easily the largest SMB I've ever danced with... But she left me mid-dance : ( wahhhh... lol. Regardless, we had a kick ass day... No trout this time. We didnt spend too much time trying for them. We couldn't fight the urge to go BRONZE!!! Biggest was 19.25" and 4.5-4.6 lbs... The scale was teetering... I wont submit it to the SMB contest b/c my pics came out sh*tty on my gopro. I apparently have a scuff on the housing lens... it caused some distortion. That's getting cleaned up this week...
