There's a small pond next to Cabot Drive in Yardville, NJ, where I caught largemouth bass, crappies and bluegills last year. This year there were dead bass, crappies and a Canada goose on the pond every time that I went fishing there. The only bass that I caught this year was very thin and looked sick. All 5 crappies had red marks. The severe winter killed a lot of fish in NJ.

It looks like that pond was pretty well frozen this past winter.. That sucks, hopefully the survivors will repopulate.
Happened to a few other members spots too. |

Yep happened to me. No red marks, just dead fish everywhere. Small, shallow pond that was frozen with 15-20" of ice for about 5 months. I haven't been back but I'm curious to see if any survived. I'm going to check it out this weekend. Here's the thread:
