first trout for the 2014 season

fished the rockaway after work with my son yesterday. stocking day. total tally for me was two stocker rainbows. and two fat chubs for my son. he did have a trout on for a second but it popped right off. this is the longest I have gone for a first trout ever in all my years. all fish caught on spinners.

The season is definitely off to a slow start. I caught 2 rainbows so far, both out of the musky. Ive tried the rockaway twice, including monday, nothing. There were a slew of people at the spot I was at, but after about 30 mins everyone left because no one was catching anything.
