I have an outboard that has that muddy rusty looking brown stain from a test tank
and was wondering what's the best way to clean it off as I would like to polish the lower end but can't get it off well enough. Thanks for the advice if you have any for me.![]()

On-off should work for ya , just where gloves and don't breathe the fumes

Yep and on off also has a new cleaner specifically for drives and running gear. Used it yesterday. Not as powerful as the regular on off stuff but it easier to handle and is more like a gel then the regular stuff.
