Default Spruce Run Ice

Hello all. A friend of mine invited me to hit the ice on Spruce tomorrow morning. Anyone out yesterday or today? Wondering about the ice conditions.

Thanks in advance!

Good luck out there tomorrow. Let us know how you do. Any pre-work for the Feb 22nd MnG would be greatly appreciated. You should join us for that if you are local to the area.

So we got there a little earlier than the opening of the gates so we ventured to another part of the ice. Dead all morning. Relocated to a rocky area in about 15' of water. Ice was plenty thick everywhere we went with an average of about a foot of ice. Slow day for sure until my buddy got this guy on a shiner from a tip up. About 32". Hoping to make it to the meet and greet!

Looks like a twin to the one Tom caught. Didn't get a tape on it, but had a scale and it weighed right about 5 lb. Nice pic we only had a cell phone and didn't get a good pic and didn't want to take time to fool with it before we got him back in the water.

Pretty sure we re-used your holes, THANKS.
Couldn't have been 15 minutes on the ice when our pike hooked up.
That was the first spot I had in mind.

We captures several pics of Tom fish. However, it would be more enchanting if we capture with the help of digital cam.
