Default LH Drawdown

Has this begun? Is it still possible to drop in and fish?

It started sept 23rd and you can still get in no problem. The lake is 23" low as of today from full pool (9ft on outlet marker), and is dropping 1.5" per day. According to ernie at Lee's u can still launch medium/small boats til they lock up Nov.31st but I have not tried ever. I will keep fishing out of my big boat til its hard to launch then switch to my 16footer til its too low or ice forms. The ramps are pretty long at lees so u just end up backing in further, u just gotta be careful if you have to go in deep past the concrete dropoff, just go slow. I leave my boat barely floating in back and just jump in and drop the motor enuff to make the pisser work, then warm it up and power it off in reverse just the opposite of how u power it up coming back in. safest way to do it in low water conditions on any lake

for any kneedeepclub members, 5 years ago the yacht club allowed members to use their launch during low water, they are on bertrands island and their ramps are super deep and drop into the main lake very fast, Im gonna find out the deal soon on whether they will allow it this year as well

I was up there working yesterday and the water was quite low already, but I think things will be ok for the meet and greet. The marinas are prepared with longer ramps because of the drawdown, it's not like this is the first drawdown on the lake. I saw 3 fishing boats launching at the Yacht Club across from Liffy island, which is much shallower than the southern side of the lake.

On the note of actual fish, the fish seemed to be everywhere. Around my friend's dock, in only 2 feet of water, I saw multiple schools of perch and sunny/bluegill, as well as a nice size largemouth bass. I only fished for 30 mins as I was working yesterday, but I managed a nice perch on a senko worm. The only problem with fishing from the dock was all the weeds at the surface from the drawdown. But, I believe that's not gonna be a problem with fishing the wipers tho, as we'll be fishing deeper water, correct?

By the time the M&G is here we'll be fishing straight down off the points anywhere from 25-45 feet of water. Don't forget your jigging rod. Lots of fish will be caught!!!!!!

Good deal, no weeds, that will be a welcomed change for me.
