Worked til 1 today and took advantage of the short window I had to fish. Headed over to the RR for some Smallie action, Black Gitzit tubes were the ticket today. Drifted and jigged my tubes for a good 2 hours picking up some nice Smallies between 9-15 inches, than I get absolutely hammered and the drag is screaming. I had the drag set to loose for the little guys I was catching. Finally after a short battle and some great aerial jumps I got her in. fish weighed 4.8 lbs on the Rapala Digital scale, didnt get a measure on her but im guessing 21-22 inches. If this fish keeps feeding she'll be close to 6 lbs in a month!!! Managed to catch around 14-15 smallies in about 2 hours, good day.
Great to day to be on the river even if the wind was howling! TIGHT LINEZ!!!
