Default Top water Large Mouth Bass Report

I've been hitting the local ponds with my son in the evening and the fishing has been pretty good. I still enjoy catching those large mouths and big bluegills on the fly rod. It is relaxing yet exciting to see them grab that fly or bass bug. We usually catch some every outing and people that are around seem to be amazed at the fly rod and that there are fish in the pond.....

Here are a few pictures...

NICE Report...I have caught LMB, SMB, every sunfish known to man, pickerel, crappie and even catfish...not talking about trout as this is a given, on the fly. No matter if it is on a dry fly presentation or submerged, catching fish on the fly is totally awesome. Personally I usually fish a 2 wt rod and love the bend in the rod no matter the species or size.

Good stuff lunkertaker. I just got a 2wt rod. Having a blast. I've been using a 6wt to sling those giant deer hair bugs, poppers and frogs.

Going for bass and sunnies on the fly is a lot of fun. If I wasn't such a disaster with the fly rod I would do it more often.
