Got out for a short time today, didn't leave metal at home today!
Actually missed a couple , released two , both small bows about 15" , nice chunky fish. Water remains stable flow & temp! I pounded one of the same stretches that I fished at times all week. I'm going to fish a couple stretches just to see how many fish I can turn up day in day out. Never ceases to amaze me how day after day under different / similar circumstances fish materialize in different beats of same stretch! They are actively feeding now, so now thru winter freeze see what happens. |

Ha ha !! 15" may be on the small side for fall but after spring stocking there are lots of guys that would see 15"ers as lunkers
Nice report...I find that the longer the trout are in the river the more they find the need to feed ALL day...on insects anyway... |

You must be imune to the tons of leaves in the water
I can't fish past them. |

Leaves were bad but fishing through them the way I work my lures not to awful!
I never reel so simply floating my lure does not go against the flow, ticking bottom I pick up more, but after this blow & possible flood that will no longer be an issue! Now you can get a surprise most anywhere on various streams, fish can scatter if water really get to flood stage. Might be awhile before you can get back on water, we'll see! |
