Raritan river variety 5/9

Went back to scene of the crime on the raritan today and caught a nice mix.The smaller bass and perch were not schooled up like they were, I was able to pick one here and there though.Caught a mix of stripers to ~22" that was camara shy but was great on lite tackle,some small smallies and a suprise 18" bow.

How many times I drove over the Queens Bridge from Bound Brook to South Bound Brook and looked over and said to myself, there hasta be fish in there ! While a thousand people a day drive over that bridge and look down and go, ugggghh the Raritan. Amazing, and that is such a tiny section of the river, plenty of miles to fish. Hardship, many miles of the Raritan boarders on private property, Dukes, Finderne Farms, the water company etc. Problem solved, canoe !!

Ditto....for more than that part of the Raritan. I always think its too shallow or too accessible or whatever. You would think I'd have learned by now.
