I got to Duke Island Park falls around 8am or so, had my first fat brook trout by 8:30. Crossed over and got another fat brookie by the falls.
Worked the bend below the falls pretty good, no love there. Shucker showed up around 10. I got a nice fat rainbow, also by the falls. We worked our way down through the shale flats donating plenty of tackle as we went, only fish was the nice rainbow Shucker got. He split around noon and I worked the falls for another half hour, nothing. It was getting pretty damp outside so I passed on Roberts Street and came home, calling for 2 inches of rain on Wednesday, rivers gonna be blown out for a while. |
