It's not unusual for this time of year especially because the lack of rain and no Oak Ridge. I was on Clinton about a month ago and it was way down. Here is a pic from Canistear some years ago, September, we had to hand launch. If people start getting to get stuck trying to launch, they have closed the gate.

Just to add to my earlier comment on your post, rainfall, drawdown and lazy people may cause the limiting of boat access from my observations. For example, Clinton was close to full pool at the end of last season while OR was lowered for repairs. I've also seen Oak Ridge gate locked for launches this time of year because lazy people parked on the lakebed in lieu of proper parking in the lot or road and when people break the law it must be easier to lock the gate than let it happen. In fact, last time at Clinton there was a boat and trailer on the lakebed and I was taking a pic for the office when the boat came in and I explained the ramifications of total closure of the ramp to him, and I didn't notify the office. Because of those situations the Fall has a chance of being a problem. Came up with this pic from 11/15/23 of Clinton launch almost full pool.

FYI update on NWS. Canistear was closed today because of the water level being too low. Clinton is still closed because the launch is being used as the Buckabear Wildfire command post. The only one open now is Echo.

Clinton is still closed for the fires? Aren’t the fires done. This sucks.
