We were lucky enough to do our 2 weeks up in Lake George again this year.
After 10 years of half a$$ attempts I finally landed one of the Queen's deep water predators. Caught her in 85 fow without a spotlock trolling motor! The lake is always windy and only had a 15 minute window with no wind to make it happen. This fish qualifies for a NY Achievement Award at 30" and 10.5#. To say i was stoked is an understatement. Thanks to Chrisper for teaching me everything I know on how to jig these awesome fighting fish. ![]() We patterned the greenies and had over 25 in one afternoon alone. Even caught the same fish 3 times over the 2 weeks. The fish up there are built different being short and super fat. Big fish came in at 4.5# and only 19". all the 16" fish weighed between 2.75-3.5# ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Smallmouth were scattered and the bigger fish were only biting during low light conditions. We caught 3 fish over 18" (NY award) and dozens of spunky keepers and shorts. The rock bass as usual were tough to keep off the hook. Also caught a monster chain pickerel (1st time ever) that managed to escape the net. All fish released. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now it is back to the grind.
