Well i did it. Got a new PB!! Got a chance to fish yesterday. Grabbed my rod and casted out. Got hit right away. Big ass sea robin and a bluefish double header! Take the junk fish off and cast back out. Get a few jigs when i feel a small tap, i continue to jig and i look back at the other side of the boat and i almost get the rod ripped out of my hand from the most violent fluke bite i have ever had. Second i lift for the sky i knew it was a big fish!! We were in skinny water and the fish took off taking drag. Started cranking slowly trying to get the fish off the bottom as i am doing this i am quietly saying grab the net, grab the net, grab the net, untill Capt Eddie looks over and sees me and runs with the net. Fish is coming up slowly and we get color and my mouth just dropped as i thought it was a skate since it was so big but then again violent head shakes and was able to get a better look at it and it was a SLOB!!!!! Fish comes up to the top and he scoops it with the net and in the boat it comes!! HUGE!!!!! We all go nuts! Fish weighed in at 12.5# My new NJ personal best! Still in shock. Gonna take a few days to set in!

Fish was caught using a Jigging World Shogun 7.1ml with a Shimano 2500 stradic ci4 with 20# braid and 20# floro rig. Fish ate a 2oz FOMF Glow Jig with a 6in Gulp Grub.
