Default Barnegat bay Fluke 6/15

We got an early start on the bay this morning. Me and my friend Danny had a good bite going right away. My first fish was a nice 23 incher that hit a gulp new penny shrimp. After that it was all shorts for us and we finished up with around ten fish between us, but the action slowed down alot and we were swinging and missing on short striking fish as time went on and a southwest breeze picked up. Only one keeper for us today but it was a pretty good fish.

Me and Danny went back out this morning. Conditions were poor and we had to use a drift sock. Danny caught 4 with one keeper almost 20 inches, I only managed 2 shorties and we were out of there by 8:30. I'm back up north now and I'm already thinking about fishing again. Happy fathers day to all and thank you Dad.

Thanks for the report! Renting a boat out of BL this coming Saturday, starting at the shallows then targeting deeper edges a couple hours after slack low. Maybe we'll see ya out there

Sounds like a good plan. I'm hoping to get out to the 30 line Saturday, if not I will be there.

Love seeing Barnegat reports. I had the same idea Saturday morning getting out early before the wind came up. Got 4 or 5 shorts in DCC then moved to the flats and got this 22”. Was back at the dock at 9:30.
