Weekend of stripes/trout

Took the day off Friday to get in on the hot salt Water bite going on my buddy’s henriques. The Kathy k is still dry docked.... had my boss and few guys I work with out and fished from 530-1230. Hot bite early morning then tide when slack and switched to outgoing and it was a pick. We ended up with our under limits. Headed home and prepared the mamba for her 2nd tourney this year... bright and early I set the spread up 5 boards each side both downriver rods going the bottom bouncers, the copper,10- color and a Cheater rod down the middle! Small stockies were vicious little bastards and in full force,kept working the pond lost a good bow pushing 4 lbs at the net that hurt me bad for the day and in the standings for the fpoy standings... kept plugging away and came up with my lakers and one bow, had three hours left and tried every trick in the book and couldn’t come up with the last bow. Ended up with second place biggest laker for the day with a 4 lber and got bumped to second in the year long total weight by my buddy reddi.
