The same kind of arguments happened when compound bows were introduced and, I am sure the same argument happened when reels were introduced instead of sticks with strings on them.

Sure, why not? These people are more involved in the process then folks that charter a boat and troll all day. ( I enjoy trolling and have done it many times on charter boats)
