Raritan River: first ever walleye (part 3)
Didn't two folk just make a thread about their first walleyes? Here's part three.
 Big thanks to all who convince me to keep trying the river. Landed on 6lb test on a cheap shad rap off-brand. Adrenaline blasted!   Also thanks to a man named Lance for taking the picture. Last edited by thmyorke1; 03-30-2018 at 05:56 PM..

Congrats on the first!! Always feels good to check a new species off the list! I tried a bunch of different lakes and approaches trying for my first and came up empty. Ended up catching it in a river trout fishing.....
 Nice fish!!

YEA BUDDY!!! Thats a superb Walleye for your first! Hang in there and eventually the river will reward you! It takes time but just stick with it! I always tell myself there’s something down there and usually there is! Way to go man!!!!
P.S. That’s a female! She’s all spawned out!
