Took advantage of the weather this weekend and hit my local spot. Hit em hard with bait & lures and stayed pretty busy. Landed some perch, crappies, sunnies & gills, small & Lmb, pike, and some bull & channel cat. Nothing too huge, but def a great time. Until I lost a beast.
With pole in hand, was waiting on another lil catfish to battle. But when it took the bait & the hook was set, I already knew my light bass setup wasn't gonna do the job. Reel singing, line peeling & about to be spooled, I tried to ease it back before that happened and the line just snaps. Seen the big girl right when it gave to and easily was over 15lbs, channel. S.O.B.!! Lol! I'll definitely be looking for her in the near future, with the right gear.
