Canyon Reels Ex16 beats up a Big-eye
Just wanted to give Canyon reels another shout out for all the credit they deserve that they do not always receive. This weekend we had a 170# big-eye take a select bally on a Canyon Reel Ex16 and the reel absolutely beat the fish up. I will also mention that a custom 30# class rod (not to mention names) snapped before the reel ever showed any kind of weakness. All the charters on the boat always give us a funny look when i tell them we beat up big-eye with that reel, but to make it simple, i have equal confidence in that reel as i do my Canyon Ex50s. Big shout out to Don for making a great product.
