Ice pike 1/19

Found some safe ice in northern NJ with Rocco, Mikey Topaz, Frank, Bob and Yuri. Yuri iced a fat Pike at 35 inches or so and fat. Rocco followed up with a Pike of his own around 25-26 inches soon after. Jig bite was slow compared to previous trips but at least there was action. Perch were 6-10 inches, Gills were around 5-8 inches with a couple dink Crappie mixed in. Not a bad jig bite at all. Mikey and frank also got some nice Bass on the tip-us. A couple of 3 pounders and a big fat 20 incher around 5lbs for Mikey. No love on the tip-ups for me today, no biggie, I got jiggy with some Perch. I guess there wasn't anything in the area that wanted my 10 inch Suckers!!! All in all a great day on the water. Ice was very sketchy in spots from the open water pounding the edges. 3-6 inches of ice where we fished today. Careful out there fellas.
