Default Stripers and Blackfish

Thats what I'll be doing tomorrow and so looking forward to it after a long week of work. Tomorrow should be great with the light winds forecasted, the Stripers making a nice showing recently and the blackfish now opening up.

If you already don't have plans to get out, I would make some. Not going to be many more days like tomorrow.

If you are planning to get out, good luck and see you out there.

So pumped. Love this great sport of ours, especially this time of year

Nothing better in life than fishing. I always learn new stuff all the time and every trip is different. Fishing for blackfish is only for the hardcore fisherman. Good luck Gerry cant wait to fish with you on the 8th.

Thumbs up Re: Stripers and Blackfish

Couldn't agree with you more Gerry, this is the best time of year for fishing the coast hands down; blackfish, stripers, sea bass, cod...doesn't get any better than this!

Fishing was not as good as anticipated but not a total bust....

We probably had a dozen Stripers, mostly rats and 2 or so in the mid 32 - 34 inch range. Doggies were all over the eels, you'd hook one up and another would follow it up right up to the boat.

We did not even bother to tog since the reports we got from others toging were dismal.

I was wondering what made the fishing so tough when the reports were so good as of late... Got done blowing my leaves late in the day, I look up and see a full moon. Usually the kiss of death at least for us.

I was saying last night, it is amazing how they all shut down at once, up and down the coast. If you could crack that code GULP would be out of business!
