Upper South Branch of the Raritan river; A pictorial:
10 Attachment(s)
My 2nd attempt of bringing you a section of a river in photo form. Hopefully I will get out this week and photograph the lower half of the South Branch of the Raritan river. Again photos read left to right top to bottom. I started out as close to the top as I could without actually going to Budd Lake, the true beginnings of the South Branch. I began around the Flanders-Bartley area.

Down to Hoffmans Crossing Bridge, the official, unofficial start to the Ken Lockwood Gorge. I didn't go into KLG nor the Lake Solitude trout waters, but picked it up again at Lake Solitude itself.

Well, it appears that there are a lot more private trout clubs on the Upper SBR than I ever knew about !! "For the record, there are 3 private clubs on the upper SBR. Starting up top, Anglers Anonymous. Further down in Middle Valley is Raritan Trout Fishing club on leased water on the Harbe Dan Farm, and then there is Shannon's Fly Shop's private water behind the Raritan Inn."
Working on getting more info on this................. |
