If you look at the actual numbers as listed in the WSA link you'll see the RVR release was only approx. 22cfs on the 18th and 15cfs on the 19th. In contrast the releases from SRR for those same dates were approx. 235cfs which is where the high flows on the SBR actually derived from. They've been releasing from SRR since about July 13 at varying rates depending on precip and natural flows. VERY little has been released from RVR so far this year. There actually have been a few instances when they've been pumping from the SBR up into RVR.

Just a short FYI for anyone who may be interested, as of earlier today they reduced the outflow from SRR by about 60cfs and began releasing from RVR at approx. 85cfs. This change should definitely result in cooler water temps below the pumping station. Give them a day to acclimate and you should be able to find feisty, willing holdovers to play with from there downstream for quite a distance.
