I'm fishing upper Morris county and I have even heard of dogs being taken off leashes in upper passaic county - don't doubt they are around, but I'm pretty sure i'd be able to take out a stray dog with my bare hands and a blunt end of my fishing rod...

add 3 or more into the mix and i'm not so sure...
