A prior commitment on Saturday meant I wouldn't be able to go chase tuna offshore, but I did have a small window in the morning to target my favorite freshwater species...northern pike.
Hit a couple of spots and ended up with a few fish. Here is the biggest of the day, which measured around 33" to the end of the body, however he was missing almost all of his tail, likely to another predator. With the tail, he would have been around 35 to 36". Didn't seem to affect the fish too much, as he was super fat and clearly in good enough shape to chase down a lure.
I ended up buying a selfie tripod for pics, and so far so good!
