Default Update 6/6/21. 1261 On Our Way To 1500

Good Morning Everyone

Hope you and your families are well and enjoying this HOT taste of summer.

We have about 3 weeks left in our quest to obtain as much support as possible regarding Public Boat Launches on Greenwood Lake. As of today we have a remarkable number of supporters 1261. Our goal by June 30 is 1500.

Our online petition link can be found at the top of the feed here. We also have our paper petition that has been sent out to quite a few of you and is due back to

UFANJ
PO Box 253
Montvale NJ 07645 On or before June 30.

Let me be clear....there is this wide misconception that the marinas are the problem. Everyone I talk to tells me the same thing, " the marinas can do whatever they want" they can charge $100 a day if they choose....it is their property and their business.

We say let them do whatever they want....we are not concerned with their affairs/how they choose to run their businesses ...what is unfair is the refusal towards day launching on a Public Lake stocked from fees generated from fishing licenses. No public launching, no launching on weekends, no launching between Memorial Day to Labor Day..... THIS IS WHY PUBLIC LAUNCH RAMPS are needed.

Despite what has been said and to the contrary.....there IS plenty of room at Browns Point for a launch/parking area. There is also a Boy Scout camp on the NY end that has room.

This is our last push......please if you have not already done so Sign, Sign, Sign. This issue has been around 30 years let's make these ramps become a reality. Each person, try to find 10 more.

Remember Wednesday June 23 is the next meeting of the Greenwood Lake Commission at 7 pm. We need more faces present and more contributions during the public comment period. Solidarity and vigilance will get these launches built/come to fruition. They still have May meeting info posted on the GWC website...just click on Register and choose June meeting date you will be approved and they will send you the link.

Also have been told NJ Fish and Game Council has a meeting this Tuesday the 8th at 10 am. Type in NJ Fish and Game Council Meetings....will give directions on downloading GoToMeeting App and how to attend the meeting. Another panel you should be a part of to let your voice be heard. By now most of our targeted parties have received our letter of concern and our petitions (all 59 pages ) of them and STILL growing.

Someone here told us NY DEC can put a ramp in overnight......that they are good to work with. No need for engineers, surveyors etc......targeted parties are making this much bigger than it has to be.

Opening of BASS is very soon /15th. Please ALL bass clubs in the state Sign, Sign, Sign the petitions.

Greenwood today, your lake to tomorrow. Many ramps are blocked to prevent launching......weekend guy and his family have no chance whether fishing, water skiing, boating etc......

Please help us get to 1500. Remember June 23.....sign up on Greenwood Lake Commissions website.

Keep you all posted. Stay well.....

UFANJ
