Flirting With 1000/Greenwood Lake Launches

Hope everyone is healthy. We are now at 992 signatures on our online petition. We will hit the threshold very soon....and once that occurs we will push for more.

Personally we can’t tell you how angry we are about this situation. A friend of mine just got back from a tournament on Candlewood Lake in Connecticut....beautiful massive lake ....he launched for free. Last week other friends took a trip up to Lake Ontario for browns.....free to launch at Wrights Marina in Oswego.....$7 at a kiosk at Mexico Point....just put ticket in windshield, also free state launch at mouth of Salmon River.

Icing on the cake...another buddy was told at a particular marina on Greenwood weekday launch is $30. They get there and find out weekday launch is $40. That is NOT what they were told! 10 pass on Hopatcong = $150 ($15/launch), 10 trips on Greenwood = $400 ($40/trip). Insane and unacceptable.....please keep signatures coming. Highway robbery just to float your boat off it’s trailer....used to pay $10 for this! Meanwhile out on Greenwood garbage floating all over the lake .....massive curly leaf pondweed infestation....lake water looks like toilet water....not caused by the fishermen! These high prices mean one thing...they don’t want us there...”I could care less about the fishermen” one marina owner told me to my face.

Something MUST be done.....don’t let claims of not enough space, or underutilization of resources (gas, restaurants, etc; deter you). This lake is PUBLIC ...pg 30 of code : fishing permitted 24 hours.....assuming you have access.

Bass opens June 15.....please....all bass clubs strive for as many signatures on both online and paper petitions so we have a lot of ammunition when we present this to various parties.

When we hit 1000 we will then push for 1500.....every person....find 10 more....
